果樹園のある現代風長屋、共生の家
「オーチャード・ビレッジ」の試み
●オーチャードビレッジの成り立ち
オーチャードビレッジは、都心のターミナル駅から、私鉄で３０分ほどの通勤圈としては、比較的恵まれた場所に位置している。地名は、柿の木坂という場所である。Ｇさん（女性独身、６７歳）は、代々この地に不動産を所有してきたが、近年、主人に先立たれ、今後の土地の利用方法について、おいの建築設計事務所を経営しているＣさんに相談したところ、今までの賃貸の長屋でなく、住人どうしが共生してくらせることのできるコレクティブ・ハウジング＜オーチャードピレッジ＞の提案をうけた。
それは基本的には、賃貸形式だがコーポラティブとして、居住者をあらかじめ募集し、住人参加で集合住宅を計画、建設するというものである。住人の参加にともなうコーディネート役は、Ｃさんの事務所で企画、設計、工事監理を担当することになり、この試みが成果をみることになったのである，なお、各住戸のインテリアの設計は、友人であるＪさんの勤務するインテリアコーディネーター集団で一部を担当することになった。
当時、オーチャードビレッジに植えられた果樹の木は、近年思いのほか成長してきており、徐々に果実をつけつつある。この共生の家が果樹の成長にあわせて発展していくことは、住人皆が心から望んでいることであろう。
●オーチャードビレッジでの生活
* 住人の多くは、ここに住むことによって、高齢になっても都市の中に生涯、住み続けるためのついえのすみかと考えるようになった。
* 住人どうし連帯感がが強化されるので、ひとりひとりが日常生活の中で、不安感がやわらげられ、心やすらかな生活である。
* 定期的に共同の食事会を運営することによって、「共生の家」の家族となり、住人どうしが親密な関係になれる。
* 事務所やアトリエ、雑貨ショップが「共生の家」には含まれており、住人の職住近接を可能にしている。そのため、昼間の時間も来訪者が絶えないので適度なにぎわいの雰囲気がある。
* 共用多目的ルームでのダンス教室、音楽教室や、共用の和室を使っての茶道の教室などを居住する住人が開催している。教室に参加している。付近の住人との交流も生まれてきた。
＊ この「共生の家」には、中庭があり、ブドウ棚や、梨、柿などの実のなる木が植えてあり、果実の実るころは、住人どうし、収穫のためのお祭りを行っている。
＊ コミュニティファーム（温室）では、野菜の栽培に趣味をもつ住人が野菜を栽培している。住人の一部は、この仕事にパートで参加しており、収穫された野菜類は、コミュニティ・ディナーの食卓にのぼることになっている。
＊ オーチャードビレッジの管理、運営は住人どうしの定期的な常会によって、議事決定されており、現在オーチャードビレッジ住民憲章を作成検討中である。

・Structure of Orchard village

When the master preceded in recent years, it attached to use of land of the future, and it had consulted Mr. C who was managing the architect's office that was, the proposal of the collective housing < Orchard village > it was not a tenement house of the current lease, for the tenant to live together, and to be able to be able to live was undertaken though Mr. G(single woman and 67 years old) had owned the real estate from generation to generation on this ground. The resident is recruited beforehand as a cooperative though it is a lease basically form, and it plans, and the housing complex is constructed with the resident participation. The coordination post according to the resident's participation will take charge of the project, the design, and the construction management in the office of Mr. C, see the result by this attempt, and the design of the interior of each unit take charge of part in the interior coordinator group where Mr. J who is the friend works.
At that time, the fruit tree planted in the Orchard village tree grows up, and is bearing the fruit gradually besides the desire in recent years. It is that all residents hope sincerely that the house of this symbiosis additionally develops into the growth of the fruit tree.
・ Life in Orchard village
*Even if he or she became aged by living here, many of residents came inadvertently to think keeping the living to be Sumi of getting through life in the city.
*Because ..tenant.. solidarity rugged is strengthened, the anxiety is softened in individual daily life, and even the mind is Japanese syllabary life.
*It becomes the family of "House of symbiosis" by regularly managing the dinner party of cooperation, and the tenant can become a rapport.
*The office, the atelier, and the miscellaneous goods shop are included in "House of symbiosis", and [shokusu] adjacent of the resident is enabled. Therefore, there is atmosphere of a moderate bustle because visitors do not become extinct at time of daytime.
*The residing resident has held the classroom etc. of the tea ceremony that uses a dance classroom, a music studio in sharing and multipurpose a room, and a common Japanese-style room. It participates in the classroom. The exchange with the resident in the vicinity is born, too.
*In this "House of symbiosis", there is a courtyard, and the fruiter such as the grapevine trellis, pears, and persimmons is planted, and when bearing fruit, the festival of fruits for the tenant and the harvest is held.
*In the community farm (greenhouse), the resident who has the hobby in the vegeculture is growing the vegetable. Some residents are participating in this work by the part, and the harvested vegetables are supposed to go up to the table of the community dinner.
*The Orchard village is managed, and management making is decided proceedings by a regular ordinary session of the tenant, and is examining the Orchard village resident charter now.
